MY LIFELONG FANDOM OF THE DOLPHINS
In August 2012, my dad took me to see a preseason game between the Dolphins and Panthers in Charlotte, NC. Although I do not remember much of the game, I know that this is when I really started following the team. Since my dad is also a fan, it became something we could bond over, and of course those iconic colors were hard to turn down.
I remember liking Ryan Tannehill, Jarvis Landry, Kiko Alonso, Ndamukong Suh, Cameron Wake, Lamar Miller, and many more players as a child. Despite the lack of success, I was always intrigued by their players, and the games always gave me something to look forward to. Their games will continue to serve that role for me forever.
It was rough being a fan during the 5-11 2019 season as the Dolphins were intentionally losing games in hopes for a good draft pick for a future franchise quarterback. But no matter how bad it got or how good it gets, I will continue to be a fan and with no regrets. I believe Coach Hafley and quarterback Malik Willis have a bright future and I will watch every second of their games win, loss, or draw. Of course, I hope they are successful, but given their track record lately, it is not for certain. So Phins Nation join me in cheering on this great franchise as we chase our third Super Bowl and endure all of the hardships getting there. The Miami Football Dolphins will be champions again, I believe!
